The setup involved is:

ISY994i (1120) with newest Z-Wave module (21100)

Firmware V 5.34, UI the same.

Mixed Insteon (RIP) and Z-Wave networks.

Two Leviton DZPA1-2BW plug-in on-off switches, one about 10 feet from the ISY994i

Schlage BE469ZP lock, about 6 feet away from one of the on-off switches, 10 feet from the other

Aeotec Range Extender 7, 15 feet or so away from these units

Leviton DZPD3-2BW plug-in dimmer, about 15 feet away from the Range Extenders.

All units seem to be working OK and responding to commands from the ISY.

BUT:

I can program the lock (my UI just has just a Users option) to set an entry code. I need to use Set Configuration, Parameter 16 to change the number of entry code digits to 5 from the default 4 to get my desired code, but it seems to work.

However, on two occasions, I have found the lock after a short period (days?) reverts back to the original default values for the entry codes.

Can anything the ISY994i, (when talking to the network) be doing to cause this issue, or do I need to contact Schlage for help?

(Note, I originally installed Lithium AA batteries but they died in less than one week. Schlage, when contacted, says not to use them, their high voltage causes an issue. Weird. Now have regular akaline batteries)

Thanks for any thoughts on this.

Follow-up.

The lock has kept the new, 5-digit code so far.

I have not tried to do any major interactions with my ISY994i, other than locking or unlocking.

I wonder now if any Z-wave network-level commands from the ISY had the effect of resetting the unit.

Any thoughts?

Peter
