CopyRon Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 can not connect universal devices to google home this is on my my ISY94i at home I keep trying to connect through the google home app on my phone goes to the linking screenand then quits. Any ideas this started yesterday after I attempted to migrate my work ISY94 to polisy.

Had you moved the portal account to the Polisy (IoP)? If so then the old ISY might not have had a Portal account. But you said you got it to work with a "sub account". Where did you make a "sub account"? It could have been that something was down when you tried adding the main account, but worked by the time you created a new account. Have you attempted to use the primary account again? I don't have Google Home devices so can't help too much with the setup, but if it had been connected why did you disconnect it? Either way...sounds like you're back in business the way you wanted, but still kind of strange. 1
CopyRon Posted July 30, 2022 Author Posted July 30, 2022 thank you for the reply my two isy and two polisys all had portals (4) I didn't want to migrate until I got comfy with the polisy so intially I added just one insteon device to the polisy. my work isy has only maybe 30 or so devices so I thought I would try to migrate that first everything worked fine except Alexa and Google spokens so I could live with that for now but when I came home I noticed my spokens did not work here, been playin' around since last night and finally tried adding a sub account and now they work here. Won't be back to work till Tues. I will not attempt to migrate here at home till the weather cools because I wanna be outside in the summer!!
Geddy Posted July 30, 2022 Posted July 30, 2022 @CopyRon with 4 portals do you just use one account to log in and see all of them? Make sure you have the right “preferred ISY” selected in your profile. You might be sending things to the wrong ISY. I haven’t done a sub account, but perhaps when you made the sub account that is set with the preferred ISY you were working on. When logged into the portal click on “profile” in the top right to choose preferred ISY. 1
MrBill Posted July 31, 2022 Posted July 31, 2022 (edited) @CopyRon If you have 4 portal accounts that's probably not what you want. If they all appear under one account but you have 4 subscriptions that's different. If all 4 ISY devices were connected to one portal account, then in the top right choose "My Profile" then pick "Use All ISY's on account" in the dropdown. Edited July 31, 2022 by MrBill

CopyRon Posted August 3, 2022 Author Posted August 3, 2022 so I'm guessing what I did wrong was to have added the portals to my Polisys . Si when I am ready to migrate my ISY at home I am going to have delete the portal I have now on that Polisy so I can migrate properly. Does anyone know how to remove a portal from my account?
