Mobilinc Pro for iPad?

Featured Replies

Hi Wes,

I'm a faithful Mobi Pro user, and I love the solution you brought to the iPhone. I was wondering if you had any plans to do anything special for the iPad? I know we should be able to use the existing app on the iPad, but I didn't know if you had any updates planned to take advantage of the larger screen.

Thanks for everything you do.

Scott

Hi Scott,

Thank you for kind words. I've got several feature ideas I'm currently exploring with the existing iPhone/touch version and well as how to best take advange of the larger screen for the iPad. I don't have any fixed plans yet; mostly waiting for the release of the iPad and a more stable SDK to do any real planning for the new device.

Hi helipal,

Thanks for the feedback. This is something I'm working on as a plugin for MobiLinc.

Hi Wes,

I just wanted to check in to see if you had any more thoughts on creating a iPad specific version of MobiLinc. After using the iPad for a couple of months I'd love to see something that utilized all that screen real estate.

Thanks for a great app!

Hi Scott,

Yes! We are hard at work on designing and implementing the iPad version of MobiLinc. We have some ambitious plans for the iPad and as such will take time and patience from the community. Hang in there I think it will be worth it.

Hi kingwr,

All kidding aside, I would like to see from Apple the ability to offer such features to my customers. Right now I believe Apple is lacking the fidelity to offer their developers the kind of pricing/promotion/discount/refund control that some of us would like to have more control and input over.

Hi Wes,

Any update on progress? Your iphone version is awsome, and just the though of an enhanced GUI on the Ipad is spine tingling! Do you think there might be a release before year end? Any hints of features?

Many thanks for your hard work and commitment to product enhancment.

Jim

Hi Jim,

Thank you for the kind words. I've been busy with the iPad version for the last several months and am making good progress, but haven't hit the beta testing stage yet. My goal is to have it out by the end of the year. Now, that is approaching quickly here, but it is still my goal to have the first cut at this out in the next two months. On top of this I'm working with another Andriod developer to get MobiLinc for Andriod released as soon as we can as well.

More than likely the first release will support the ISY, SmartLinc, and PowerLinc controllers with all the same device, scene, program support that you are used to having on the iPhone version of MobiLinc (with updated and enhanced graphics for the iPad and a couple of other new interface features.) Shortly after that initial release I will introduce support for the ELK security panel and then expand into more home automation control space features support that I'm still fleshing out.

Thank you to everyone for their patience as we work to bring you MobiLinc for iPad.

Thanks for this reply Wes,

Good luck, and let me know if you need a beta tester!

Hi Kingwr,

I'm on track to launch MobiLinc HD beta this weekend with a planned release and approval from Apple in Feb.

Wes

I'm using the iPhone version on the iPad and it works fine.

I have the Logitech Security cameras and use their iPhone/iPad app.

Too bad Logitech/Universal-Devices/MobiLinc could somehow work together to be able to use one app to handle all tasks.

Cheers.
