dinostop
I am trying to get my hands on some Insteon outlets. Does anyone have some for sale? Link to comment

dinostop
@MrBill Thank you for your response. I am looking for the regular outlets not the dimmer outlets. Looks like maybe December 22 some time. Wondering if it makes more sense to move to Zwave with the current direction Insteon is going. Link to comment

It takes time for contracts to be signed and products to be produced, shipped, arrive, and put into stock. While zwave is an option, it'll cost you a lot more to build out its infrastructure for 1 or 2 devices vs waiting for what you're looking for to come available (unless you need a lot more devices) Link to comment
dinostop
@lilyoyo1 What I meant by their current direction is, you used to be able to get stock from multiple vendors and everything they had seemed to be in stock and not needing such a long lag time. I was just looking at long term on if I should add new zwave rather than wait, spend the money on Insteon if they are not going to be the best long term solution. My initial post was to see if anyone was selling used outlets if they were moving away from Insteon or just had extras they no longer needed. Link to comment

Its an all new company so they may start selling in other places such as amazon in the future once they can get their stock levels up to support 3rd party sales. While the changes wont happen overnight. They are showing that they're trying to get up and running full speed. If you feel more comfortable moving over to zwave, thats something you'll have to decide. It's not an endeavor you'd want to do for 1 or 2 pieces though. I use both insteon and zwave outlets. I consider insteon's to be much better. Eaton's outlets have better build quality but everyone elses quality pales in comparison to insteon's. There are no zwave dual receptacles. 1 Link to comment
MrBill
December 22 means December 2022, not December 22nd. Another item that i was watching also says Dec 22 and is already in stock, so your wait may not be that long... but I'm only guessing. If the need is particularly pressing email support@insteon.com and ask... they are responding pretty quickly. Link to comment
