Bob Chase Posted December 23, 2022 Posted December 23, 2022 After replacing the caps on some of my LampLinc's they remain dead or only marginally communicate. The 30 Volt rail is good as is the 5 V rail. Any suggestions?
Brian H Posted December 24, 2022 Posted December 24, 2022 (edited) Which model Lamplinc? Both the original 2456D and dual band 2457D2 where labeled Lamplinc. The 2457D2 later manuals did change the name but the early manuals did call them a Lamplinc. Edited December 24, 2022 by Brian H Add something

The other information " my LampLinc's they remain dead or only marginally communicate" are insufficient to offer any recommendations. -Pinch
Brian H Posted December 26, 2022 Posted December 26, 2022 That sounds correct. Also if it is in a case. Is looks like a PLM. That was the case used for the 2456D. You may want to look at. Since it is power line only. Some changes in the house maybe effecting the communications. Like any new electronic device or existing ones moved. I would suspect the power line interface circuits if both send and receive are a problem. I will see if I have any 2456D modules to look at. I do use the 2456S ApplianceLinc modules.
Bob Chase Posted December 27, 2022 Author Posted December 27, 2022 Gentlemen, thank you for your replies. When my mouser order gets here I'll do more troubleshooting. Perhaps I'll swap out some parts with a working ApplianceLinc and see if the problem moves. Like if one of the poly caps are bad.
