stevehoyt
I am running HA and a polisy running ISY and node servers. I thought I read that a new version of the HA isy integration was in the works around this time frame. I have not seen any updates come via HA. I have looked around in Hacs HA and GitHub but can't seem to find out if I am running the latest version. So can someone steer me to where I can see the current version I am running of the integration for HA, and how I determine if it is the latest. Thanks Steve Edited May 14, 2023 by stevehoyt Link to comment
kzboray
Open HA and go to <Settings><About> You will see all the different components of HA and their versions. 5.2.23 is the latest as of today. Edited May 14, 2023 by kzboray Link to comment
vbPhil
I'm using the ISY Integration as well. I looked around and can't find a version number displayed anywhere for what's actually integrated into HA. However, I believe that if you don't get a message to update it then it's running the latest. There is a Dev version out there but that takes special actions to get it running and you'd know if you were doing that. Link to comment
stevehoyt
@kzboray Thanks...I was able to see the HA version as you show and I am running that. @vbPhil Yes I did know about the dev version and am nowhere near capable of doing what it takes to get it running. I had seen that it was targeted for release around now, hence my question. It seems that there is no way to check which version of the integration I am running versus the current release other than the lack of seeing an update in HACS. Does anyone think it might be nice to add this? Link to comment

Curious, why are you citing HACS? My ISY Integration is on the main Integrations page not HACS. Isn’t HACS where the proto dev version for ISY is? Link to comment
MrBill
@stevehoyt I believe there is still a dev beta running, not sure if it's still different than production. Production however loads with Home Assistant core as a core integration.. that is 2023.5.2 as @kzboray mentions. The UDI integration has received a number of updates this year, check the release notes for what's changed in the UD integration in each version(month). the bulk of it I think was in February or 2023.2 and then this month 2023.5, Unless you really know what you're doing you should stick with that, and not the beta/dev integration witch is delivered via HACS. kzboray
HA released a new update right after I posted. So the current version is now 2023.5.3. 1 Link to comment
stevehoyt
Thanks everyone for your comments. I'm still learning HA. I think I get this part now. I believe my confusion was due to the lack of knowing how integrations worked vs HACS. Thanks again Link to comment
shbatm
The HACS version (4.0.11) is the latest 'testing' version: https://github.com/shbatm/hacs-isy994 which has to be added as a Custom Repo in HACS (top right corner menu). HACS is using the new module in python, different than the core version. It is near functionally equivalent at the moment, with some new features around Node Servers. I have not made the progress I expected over the past couple months (life has gotten in the way), so this is still the latest version. The only recent change is that the custom services that were replaced by new button, select, and number entities, have been removed from the Core version (as promised/threatened in 2023.5.0). 1 Link to comment
