carealtor Posted June 17, 2023 Share Posted June 17, 2023 I have a 2477S Dual Band On/Off Switch that I no longer get status updates in the AC. The device works fine. That is, sending On/Off commands work. But the status does not change. And Query always bombs with a red exclamation mark. This is the master bedroom fan and there are several other dual band devices in close proximity. What would cause this? Would any kind of device reset help? Has the switch gone bad? MrBill Posted June 18, 2023 Share Posted June 18, 2023 I'd try Factory Reset the device (pull the set button out, wait 30, push all the way in until the long beep ends) followed by a Restore Device from the admin console. If that doesn't quickly clear it up then you'll likely need to post the results of Event Viewer Level 3. Unfortunately I think the users that can read, understand and interpret those logs the best aren't checking the forum to frequently. It's worth noting that single device commands and scene commands operate differently. With device control from the ISY there is some two way communication, with scene's the ISY or other controls just bark the command out and expect that those devices that needed to hear it did. The fact that query always bombs tho makes it seem like to me there is a noise issue. Transmissions can be sent in one direction, but can't be heard in the opposite direction. Hopefully it's just a bad link in the device and Factory Reset/Restore at the top of this post will clear it up. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
