palayman Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Hi, Have an ISY with no updates for several years. Tried to go in and edit a program. Console loaded, but every time I go to the programs tab it locks up showing a popup saying "loading scene widgets". Have rebooted the laptop, checked java version, and rebooted the isy to no avail. Any ideas? Paul
Techman Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 Most likely your firmware and UI don't match. What's your current firmware version? Clear your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications" then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Cleared cache and installed fresh Java. Also used used a fresh start.jlnp from the same link. Didn't work. Paul

Solution bgrubb1 Posted August 18, 2023 Solution Posted August 18, 2023 Admin Console is very slow or hangs If the admin console is slow to respond, it is likely you need to increase the amount of memory allocated to the Java runtime (JRE). Open the Java Control Panel, select Java tab, press View button, then add or modify the Runtime Parameter -Xmx to the following: -Xmx512m Press Ok to close the window, then Press Apply to save the changes 1
Techman Posted August 18, 2023 Posted August 18, 2023 The UI and firmware versions can be found in the Admin Console under HELP | ABOUT One thing you can try is removing power from the ISY, then remove the SD card and reseat it. Let me know if that resolves the problem. 1

It worked and the console loaded so much faster. You're a life saver. Paul
