Error 1

Have 1 outlet linc about 8 years old here and there will turn on or off with 1 click. Other times its multpiple presses to get it to respond. What is error 1?

Error 1 is "request Failed"

You might have a load plugged into the outlet that's interfering with the Insteon signal, or the outlet could be failing. Unplug any load, then turn the outlet on and off to see if the load was the issue.

Run a diagnostics, show device link tables, then compare, to see if you have any mismatched links.

You can also set the event viewer to level 3, then send an "on" or "off" command to the outlet, which will show any communication issues.

All the above needs to be run from the admin console.
