smokegrub Posted September 26, 2023 Share Posted September 26, 2023 I have downloaded a new jnlp.file and emptied the cache. The launcher opens and both my isy's appear. Selecting the cloud option and using my password admin admin fails for both isy's. Help will be appreciated. Link to comment
smokegrub Posted September 26, 2023 Author Share Posted September 26, 2023 (edited) Now I get Admin Console icon on the desktop with admin.ljnlp icon but selecting the Admin Console produces the message "Unable to open the application". Error: JAR resources in JNLP file are not signed by the same certificate. The Portal finds and accesses both ISY's with no problem. Edited September 26, 2023 by smokegrub Incomplete, Link to comment

Now I can see the Launcher window and my URLs. However, when I double-click the URL for the Away ISY (325 mi) I get nothing but a blank screen. When I select the local ISY I get the Authentication screen but ythe password is not accepted (Failed Retry). The local password has never been changed. It is as if the local URLs are incorrect. Where does the SY get those? Ther Portal, as previsiously noted, has no trouble. Link to comment

Where does the SY get those? Ther Portal, as previsiously noted, has no trouble. The URLs were likely saved by the user. Finder will not find a system which is not on the network (i.e. Portal). The only way portal URLs would be populated is if the user pressed save after manually input a remote url (i.e. Portal). In this case the url is Saved not Found. The same is true if a local url was saved. If using UD Mobile you can try the app's finder to check the url. Go to Settings Tab > Systems > Your System > Local Connection Settings (expand if needed) > press the magnifying glass icon next to Local IP Address to start the finder. Note that UD Mobile only has the numerical Local IP Address, port and path need to be appended in finder, i.e. http://<ipAddress>:<port>/desc or http://192.168.1.99:8080/desc. Link to comment
smokegrub Posted September 26, 2023 Author Share Posted September 26, 2023 Unfortunately, I do not have UD Mobile because I am on firmware 4.9. I just noticed that both URLs were prefaced with https, which historically has meant they were the remote URLs. I have always used admin admin for the local URLs and my address and a password for the away URLs so I tried doing that for the displayed URLs. Voila! At least I can access the Launcher now but why is the local URL not displaying in the Launcher? Forgive me for missing this, but I am almost 80 and not the sharpest anymore? Link to comment
apostolakisl Posted September 26, 2023 Share Posted September 26, 2023 To help with confusion, you might start by completing uninstalling java and then install a fresh version from their website. This is sure to give you a fresh slate. Then download the IoX jnlp file from the forum and run it. Now any ISY's that show up there are local, alive, and real (not something saved). If you have a remote ISY, you need to login in to the portal and copy your portal url into IoX finder and save it. You will find it under the tab below and when you click on that tab one of the pieces of info is the url for the admin console that you need to copy and then paste into IoX finder after hitting "add" button. You can actually use that url for a local machine as well. Realize, your username and password for logging into the admin console via the portal is different. It is your user/pass that you use to log into the portal website. 1 Link to comment
