Insteon Thermostats

Getting ready to order a thermostat from SH and wondering if there is any reason to get the 7 day programmable version (T1800) over the 1 day version (T1700). Without having either, I was just figuring I would let the ISY control it and thus wouldn't have any use of the 7 day version. Am I flawed in my thinking?

TS99,

Are you saying this is the only different and Jammer369 should go with T1700 unit? I have the same question as Jammer369. Others always suggest for ISY to manage everything. Is this the case for a thermostat?

From what I could tell when I made my thermostat purchase decision the humidity sensor option was the only major difference (besides the thermostat programs being 1-day vs 7-day).

This is what I've done:

I went with the 7-day and added the humidity sensor. I am not using any of the programming functions within the thermostat itself, I'm using the ISY for all the thermostat adjustments.

By adding the humidity sensor I can use the indoor humidity level combined with the outside temperature (provided by the WeatherBug module) to adjust when the whole house humidifier runs during the winter.

So my recommendation is to buy the 7-day and add the humidity sensor.

Thanks for the info! I went ahead and purchased one T1800 and one T1700. The weird thing is that the T1700 reports back a humidity level to the ISY (~75%) and the T-1800 reports 0% which is correct since I do not have the humidity module in it.

Any ideas?
