Device not Showing in Admin Console

Featured Replies

I've been installing a new Insteon system throughout my house.  About 30 switches so far with no issues.  The 31st is installed.  I added it with the UD Mobile app and the app recognizes it.  It is a keypad and is functioning properly; however, it does not show up in the Admin Console.  Any pointers?

eiay or a ISY994i?

If an ISY994i do you have the PRO model?

eisy firmware v.5.8.0

I might have just made things worse.  I deleted the device from UD Mobile thinking I would just start over.  When I try to add it back through UD Mobile, it says Device Already Added, Ignored.

So I tried to link it through the Admin Console.  It also sees it and says it is Already Added.  But it does not show up anywhere now, not even in UD Mobile.

Try reboopting the eisy

Do a sync on UD Mobile

Is the keybpad still working?

I had tried multiple syncs on UD Mobile to no avail.  Also rebooted the eisy and still not showing up.  And yes, the Keypad is working locally.

Are sure the device isn't somewhere in your device tree, maybe under a different name

Under tools, run a topology report to see if it shows up there.

Yes.  Clicked on IoX, sorted by address, and it is not there.

If it doesn't show up in the Topology report then the only other option I can think of would be to factory reset the device and try to add it using the admin console. If it adds, then do a sync in UD Mobile

Tried that too.  I am at a total loss.  I manually linked it to another keypad and that is working too.  Was hoping I could re-add that Keypad keeping existing links, but not sure I did that right.

No idea what happened, but somewhere in all the resets and reboots, I got it working now.  Thanks for the help on a Saturday night!
