Sticklizard
I'm running in ISY now and considering EISY for migration, but I want to be able to write and run my own custom stuff on the hardware too. Does EISY provide full root access, walled garden VMs, or something else? I understand not to mess with the UD files or bad stuff will happen but I'm wondering if and how my hands will be tied on the device. Link to comment
Solution KSaccullo01 Posted April 29 Solution Share Posted April 29 You can activate the root account. I activated the root account. Created a new user account and deleted all traces of the default admin account. You can also eliminate the need for your new user account to ask for a password when using su. Just be careful how your system is exposed and who has access. Link to comment

I'm just not anxious to be restricted in access to the bare metal/OS as the previous generation was. Link to comment
