Andy C Posted July 21, 2024 Posted July 21, 2024 I ran the upgrade to 5.8.4 this morning, and after it told me to reboot, the eisy is now stuck in a constant reboot cycle. Plugging in a screen, I get the following (couldn't capture everything as it scrolled too quickly) attached screenshots. Pressing the power button ten times to do a factory reset doesn't change the outcome. Any clues on how to unbrick?
Solution Techman Posted July 21, 2024 Solution Posted July 21, 2024 Try removing power from the eisy for a few minutes then boot it up. If that doesn't resolve the issue then it's best to submit a support ticket
Andy C Posted July 22, 2024 Author Posted July 22, 2024 I was able to break out to a bash prompt by using ctrl&c at the right point when it attempted to boot (and then login with the admin username). I wasn't able to do anything as FreeBSD seems very confused about if it is running v13.2 or v14. There doesn't seem to be a way to conduct a factory reset from shell, which would be nice. Will open a support ticket.
jdm5 Posted July 28, 2024 Posted July 28, 2024 Had a similar experience last week. Opened a tix and Michel kindly spent a considerable amount of time repairing my eisy. couldn’t tell you all he did but he is amazing supporting this product!
Andy C Posted August 4, 2024 Author Posted August 4, 2024 Michel fixed my unit remotely too (thanks Michel!) - eisy now back to bossing my house!
