How I replaced an Insteon IRLink with a Raspberry Pi

My IRLink stopped working and I could not get the ISY admin console to work so I gave up and replaced the IRLink with a spare Raspberry Pi that I had lying around.  It uses an inexpensive ($3) IR receiver/demodulator sensor and connects to the ISY through ethernet.  It uses the same IR codes as the IRLink so I did not have to make any modifications to my universal remote control.  I have attached a write up of what I did if anyone is interested.  Should work with any of the Universal-Devices controllers that support the REST interface.
