Questions on the flair system before I buy

I need to do a balancing of my second floor hot air/hydronic system and this system looks like it would work (I have been putting off as previous systems that use inline dampers and controllers into my EISY system is a huge project)

Everything in my house is run by the EISY since it came out, using the 994 before that since 2012. Some of the vents are on a cathedral ceiling 18 feet high so I am doing my research.

Questions:

1 - I have 4 rooms with the insteon thermostat in the master bedroom that has about 3 vents.  What I saw on Flair only showed up to 3 rooms.  I need to damper the MB to get more flow into the 3 other bedrooms, can it be used like this and damper the main room where the thermostat is?

2 - I would need to install wiring through the duct for power (I have all 12" x 12" Vents) so I don't have to change batteries, but the Flair website briefly mention it, but no detail.  Has anyone run the power to a supply?

3 - Will the PG3 plug in work for programs and other adjustments?

4 - Is the PG3 plug in long term with them, when the MyQ couldn't work anymore I had to put in a zwave work around but this doesn't look like it would work for the Flair.

Some of these questions I will have to contact Flair, but I wanted to start here as the EISY is the starting point for all my automations and really don't want another app to control things.  Plus I am looking at about $2,500 and work to install and this is a key part of the HVAC system.

Thanks for any help

thanks

I can't specifically address your 4 questions, but wanted to share my experience with Keen vents (similar to Flair). My goal was to even out the temperatures. I have an upstairs area with 4 bedrooms and a hallway. I spent maybe $1500 on Keen vents. I did not experience any significant changes - maybe 1 degree better balanced with still major temperature differences from room to room.

I pulled the Keen vents and went to an electronic damper system. It was less expensive than Keen with professional install - I think around $1k. All rooms are completely even in temperature now, all of the time. www.zoningsupply.com. Before the electronic dampers, I went with manual dampers so I could manually control the amount of air going to each vent. This worked perfectly in the moment, but it just required manual adjustment from season to season so I eventually upgraded to electronic.

But even the manual dampers were so much better than the vents. The vents just really didn't work. It makes sense once you look into it. When you close a vent, instead of redirecting the air, it just increases the static pressure. Before you spend $2,500, I would consider testing it by manually closing some of your vents to see what happens.
