Florida Joel Posted Wednesday at 01:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 01:21 PM I run the upgrade packages from the configuration tab on my eisy. Got the message to reboot which I did. I cleared java cache (all 3 boxes checked) while system was rebooted. I then downloaded the a new start.jnlp file. (https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp). When I try to run the start.jnlp file I am asked what program to use. I told it to open with javaws.exe but nothing happens. I am on Windows 11 Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Quote
Techman Posted Wednesday at 02:21 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:21 PM Verify that you have the latest Java version, 1.8.0_45 Try clearing your Java cache again, then download the IoX Launcher. The launcher should automatically open the Admin Console without having to ask you what program to use Quote
Florida Joel Posted Wednesday at 02:29 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:29 PM Techman, Thanks for the reply. Yes my java is on 1.8.0_45. I have cleared Java cache again then downloaded the ioX launcher using this link: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp. Again when attempting to run start.jnlp, my computer asks me for the program to use to open it. I choose javaws.exe and nothing happens. Quote
Techman Posted Wednesday at 02:39 PM Posted Wednesday at 02:39 PM Right click on the IoX Launcher, then click on properties and post the data in the "target" field. Quote

Florida Joel Posted Wednesday at 02:56 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 02:56 PM Techman, Before I started all of this I save my iox launcher icon on my desktop to a folder I keep for emergencies. I brought that icon back to my desktop and I am able to connect to my eisy now. 1 Quote
Solution Techman Posted Wednesday at 03:02 PM Solution Posted Wednesday at 03:02 PM Try rebooting your computer, then clear your java cache amd download the launcher again https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If that doesn't work then it's possible your firewall is blocking the launcher application. Take a look at these two links. Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki 1 Quote
Florida Joel Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 03:04 PM Techman, Since I couldn't run start.jnlp, I didn't have a IOX Launcher created. I just now looked at my one save in my backup directory and see the target field shows "C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_451\bin\javaws.exe" -localfile -J-Djnlp.application.href=https://isy.universal-devices.com/launcher/isy.jnlp "C:\Users\Joel\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\14\7f87040e-2e6e8a70" Quote
Florida Joel Posted Wednesday at 03:46 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 03:46 PM Techman, Thanks for all your help. I followed the instructions from your post and after going through my java settings and setting it up according to the article, I was able to create an IoX Launcher on my desktop. All is great. Again many thanks for your assistance. Quote
