I seem to have a problem with adding Gen 5 z-wave products to my eisy network. These devices worked before in my previous environment with an ISY994.

Try doing a factory reset on the devices before you add them to the eisy

If that doesn't work, then try doing a EXCLUDE then INCLUDE. Put the devices in the linking mode then exclude them from the Zwave menu.

pretty much used your suggestion. Ended up Removing z-wave device from network and then adding the device via toggling the secure inclusion function to get them to join. some of these units were used from ebay purchases.

Bring that you bought them used they most likely contained link data from the previous owner, thus the need to factory reset.
