January 27Jan 27 I figured out how to add TAPO P210M Wall Plug to my EISY with the Matter interface. What happened is that I opened the setup for Matter on the TAPO App to allow EISY Matter interface to connect. The first two devices seemed to install via the UD Mobile App. Needed to rename the names, but all good and I can control them. The next three devices got them installed, but they are not showing up in the node list. Not sure why this happened. I can't reinstall them, it errors outs. If I remove the Matter Bound service called "Apple Keychain 1" from the TAPO APP settings interface it seems to re-install, but are still not listed.Any ideas or thoughts why not listed? Thanks..
January 27Jan 27 Author Also after unbind the bond services and reinstalling it get to the "Please wait while Matter Device initialization is completed". The never completes and stays on that screen. Also get sometimes the coding error in UD Mobile.
February 4Feb 4 Author OK final report.. I got all 9 devices added. How?1. Used three different UD Mobile apps, one on iPhone, one on Android Tablet and finally use MuMu Player which is a Android emulator for Windows. 2. I bounced between all three interfaces over the last several days to get it to response. Also had the ISY admin console up to see if there were commands being sent out. There seemed to be large timeouts, or maybe to small of timeouts in the waiting for the devices. On the linking of the devices it took me probably a half a day per device. With 5-50 tries to link the devices before it hooked on.3. Things to note- Android Interface seems to be more stable than IOS- IOS interface using QR code pops up the Apple HomeKit install first, then tries UD Matter. Quite a hassle, so I hand entered the code which skipped the Apple HomeKit install. Probably a bug.- For TAPO Matter devices, you want to install them to the TAPO app before trying to connect to UD Mobile and Matter. This is where the proper Matter code for the device is stored. Don't use the Apple HomeKit code. It is extremely simple in the TAPO app to allow a linking session for 15 minutes with the Matter code. - I know the UD Mobile code is either Beta or Alpha, both words are used, in general your code at this point is poor. A lot of REST errors, timeouts and don't hit Cancel (Just locks things up). The UD Admin console menu and items for Matter are not finished code. Just the logging works. - In the end, I did get these devices installed. Going into the purchase of the UD Matter USB hardware and using UD Mobile I was expecting a much cleaner and better developed product. Best wish in cleaning up code, fixing bugs and releasing a non-beta/alpha product to market. Cheers! Edited February 4Feb 4 by jim.lisiak To read better
