Upading an old eisy

Featured Replies

After a decade of being an Indigo user, I'd like to switch back to my old Gen 1 eisy. I have it up and running, but I need to update the ancient firmware, 5.8.0, and pg3x 3.2.17.

Michel's post of 3/12, under Important Notes, says do NOT upgrade if the version is less than 5.9.1, as it may brick the eisy. The rest of the instructions are unclear as to whether they are the solution to updating, or if I'm SOL and need to update my hardware.

If backups are the issue, the only thing I have showing in the AC are the Hue and Twinkly NS I installed 10 years ago (a pleasant surprise), I haven't connected the Insteon modem yet. No programs, so there's nothing really to back up.

Should I just click 'Update Firmware' and hope for the best?

Chuck
