Venstar T1800 and Mobilinc App not saying "heating"

I have a Venstar T1800 thermostat that I use at a part time cottage, turning the temperature up remotely. It used to respond with a notice saying "Heating..." when turning the temperature up, which was reassuring that it is working, but it doesn't any more. Any ideas?
