21 hours ago21 hr Hi All,I purchased this plug-in today in order to link Insteon keypad buttons to trigger playing a playlist in a given room. Plug-in installed without issue and it detected my various Sonos speakers (mostly AMPs). But that's where the good news ends haha.I believe all of my AMPs are correctly functioning in Sonos. Using the Sonos app I can play music to each AMP, no problem. The program I created, which is triggered when a button is switched on, gets triggered and it even says 'playing' in the admin console for the corresponding AMP. However there's no audio. I spent a bunch of time today trying to figure out what was wrong and I'm not able to get any consistent story. I tried the same program on another AMP, solely changing the referenced AMP, and it worked. When I changed it back to the initial AMP, it didn't. I tried deleting the program and re-creating it. I tried deleting the AMP and re-discovering it. And then at some point it magically started working. And then about an hour later, it stopped working again.I have four AMPs and one Play:3 currently connected. This issue started with one AMP. Two other AMPs were working fine with similar programs. Then after the AMP that was giving me a hard time stopped working, one of the other AMPs that worked before, stopped as well. The best that I can come up with is when I grouped a speaker in the Sonos app with another speaker, and then ungrouped it, it stopped working again. But I'm not even 100% sure that's the trigger. Also, it seems that none of the other actions I add to the program do anything either. I set a volume which does not get applied, turned on shuffle and repeat, which don't get applied, even during the brief period that it was working. Somewhat related, I can't figure out how to update the Sonos Favorites on the Admin Console. The initial Sonos Favorite playlist I created showed up. When I created another one in the Sonos app, I tried pushing Update Favorites and nothing. Tried restarting the plug-in, nothing. Then randomly a while later it showed up. Most recently I created a third favorite in the Sonos app and can't get it to appear in the console.Any ideas on how to troubleshoot?Thank you!Peter.
4 hours ago4 hr All plugin troubleshooting starts with the plugin's log. That's the main way that plugin authors can have the plugin report information about what it's doing and, in many cases, what has gone wrong.Bring up the plugin details for the SonosST in PG3x. Look at the Log tab. From there you can look at the log and set the verbosity of the messages. You list a number of things that you have been trying to do with mostly failing results. It is likely they are all related so I'd start by concentrating on one thing.Try this:Restart the pluginswitch to the log tab to view the logTry one of the things that doesn't work while watching log. Do you see any errors? If you don't see any errors. Switch the log verbosity to debug level and repeat the steps above. If you need help interpreting the log output, Download the log file and attach it here. I'll take a look at it.
