Nodes Available in UnifiProtAPI - Doorbell

Featured Replies

Appears there are 18 nodes available, but none seem to identify the "Ring" action. Based on the node information it has identified my G4 Doorbell's mac as a UniFi Camera (AI+Audio). Will the Ring activity be added or is there a tech issue with it?

I don’t think there is any reason we can’t get there. I have had a fully booked week so since receiving my G6 entry I haven’t tackled the issue yet. My thought is we will have a doorbell device with the appropriate nodes we can trigger or status off. Everything the api offers will be passed through to the node.

Understood! Thanks so very much for putting together the PG3x program for this. UnifiProtAPI is going to really extend the usefulness of Unifi protect.

To be honest - the G4 doorbell detects motion prior to the ring so it is still useful. I have been contemplating turning off motion as it is really kind of goofy : its not nearly as sensitive to human motion as it is to light. Despite having exclusion zones set up at the street, cars early in the AM get picked up especially when their headlights hit the spray of my lawn sprinkler which is going off at 530am!
