Sub-Routine Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 Hi Jay, Did something change in your firewall? Does this link work http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp - Java application? Rand
jaycanter Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 All it did was bring up isy finder box with cancel, add, remove. & refresh buttons and they don't do anything
jaycanter Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 well after about 10 to 15 mins it showed an adrress i double clicked it the admin panel opened and the same errors started popping up. i did get to login with my laptor but couldn't get anything to do anything it just sits there but from my destop i don't even get the login just errors once the window opens i also uninstalled java and reinstalled no difference
jaycanter Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 well i can't get the desktop to work still same problem i started using the laptop to do some changes and it was running very slow with errors of IO error:proxy device so i don't know what to think
jaycanter Posted October 2, 2010 Author Posted October 2, 2010 just looked at my program summary and a lot of them say not loaded under activity and out of memory under status.
Sub-Routine Posted October 2, 2010 Posted October 2, 2010 just looked at my program summary and a lot of the say not loaded under activity and out of memory under status. Is the Error LED blinking? This sounds like an issue with the SD card. Please check that the card is seated securely: ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Replacing/Formatting_an_SD_Card Rand
jaycanter Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 got no lights blinking and for the last hr have had no problems with the laptop but still same errors from my desktop i reset the isy
Sub-Routine Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Hi Jay, If you have no issues with the laptop and only with the desktop then that points to an issue with the desktop. What is the virus checker/firewall you have running on that machine? Is this Windows and what version? Do you have the 32-bit Java installed? http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=2863 Rand
jaycanter Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 I have windows vista 32 bit service pack 2 i don't have any virus protection and the only firewall is the windows program just checked the firewall and the java is checked the same as java and my brultech i have been using tjis computer for the 2 months that i have had the isy with no problems. it worked yesterday morning then a few hrs later the problems started i believe it's 32 bit java it just says version 1.6 and it's been on the desktop for a couple of months. thinking something went wrong in it i uninstalled and reinstalled but no change
jaycanter Posted October 3, 2010 Author Posted October 3, 2010 Found the problem the brultech had the same ip address as the isy even thought the isy was set for automatic dhcp i changed the address with ether config and it's been perfect this morning it's weird that the problems showed on 1 computer and not both. Thanks for the help Jay
Mark Sanctuary Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 One thing you might consider doing is giving your ISY a static IP address. That will help with network IP conflicts with the ISY and save you time in the future. Assign a Static IP Address Thanks,
