gweempose Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I recently purchased an ISY-99i PRO, and I am loving it so far. One thing I can't figure out, however, is how to do an automatic firmware update. I see the option in the menu to manually upgrade the firmware, but I do not see the automatic option. FYI, I already registered the product online, if that makes any difference.
Brian H Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 The Beta ones have to be done manually. You download the file and use the Manual Update Tab. When an official version is released. You will get a message it is available. Been awhile so it just may happen and I don't remember.
Mark Sanctuary Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 Brian is correct. The official firmware updates are the only ones that currently use that feature. The beta firmware updates are manually upgraded and come every few months. The official version updates are more like yearly or so. The amazing thing about the beta updates are they are in most cases very stable and worth the time to apply. You will always find the beta software available from the forum section... Current Release, Betas, and Bug Reports Thanks,
gweempose Posted October 18, 2010 Author Posted October 18, 2010 Thanks, guys! It all makes sense now. I currently have version 2.7.15, so I assume this is the latest official release. What stable version of the beta firmware do you recommend that I upgrade to?
Brian H Posted October 18, 2010 Posted October 18, 2010 I would also like to say. On the rare chance a beta release had a problem. It is very rapidly addressed.
