jcthorne
My current network of about 50 devices includes 4 of the older RF Signalinc devices. One is currently installed piggyback on the PLM. Would there be a decided advantage to replacing those with the new access points in terms of signal network coverage? I have no intrest in the current remotelinc product so have not bothered to change them out as yet and don't want to throw money at them if changing them out will not improve my current network comms. I would say my current network is at about 85 to 90% successful with the PLM, much worse than with the PLC. But the ISY is much better than Homelinc was so a net gain I guess Ordered some filterlincs from SH yesterday from thier ebay sale (17.99 for 10 amp versions) to add to my UPSs and home theater equipment. Hope those help some. Would really like to get this to near 100% comms so that the programming can work as designed.
Mark Sanctuary
Gosh this would be a good question for Steve over in the Everything INSTEON forum, because most of us would be taking a guess on the performance differences of Signalinc vs AccessPoint question. I switched over because I wanted a Remotelinc and did not see any gain or loss in Insteon network performance.
