While I've found my Hawkeye type X10 sensors to be pretty sensetive, I will say I don't think they're as sensitive as the ones on my security system. Maybe they're not intended to be, I don't know. I'm sure they're not nearly as expensive either! But I have found them to to be quite acceptable for general purpose motion detection. And when you can get 3 of them for $20. . . . I would definitely upgrade the transceiver. I don't know that it will fix the problem, but the RR501 type is generally acknowledged to be much better.
