Follow up, in case anyone else is interested, I just received the following from Venstar ...

 

Thank you for your interest in our thermostats and accessories.

 

Venstar came out with an affordable, price point, color touch screen thermostat recently for the residential market. To achieve the desired price point, this product was designed to be a 'no frills' model.

 

Coming this year we will have accessories available that will enable the ColorTouch thermostat to have humidity control, wireless capabilities, Internet connectivity and yes, Insteon compatibility. Venstar will also soon deliver commercial models of the ColorTouch thermostat, the T6800.
