Isy communicates with Elk, Elk doesn't communicate with Isy

Ok, I'm stumped... I have been working on this for days, researching everything I could find checking and re-checking configurations with no luck.

What I have is the alarm status, and arm buttons displayed in the Isy console, I have also exported and imported the xml file. When I go to Elk either via web console or using the alarm keypad, I can see the lights and their status but cannot turn them on or off.

Any suggestions?

Hello mb323,

So, the only issue you have is that you cannot turn on/off devices attached to ISY from ELK? If so:

1. Did you export ELK configuration and import it into ELK?

2. Did you make sure to set the option flag in ELK lighting import?

With kind regards,

Michel

1. Yes, I have imported a few times.

2. If you mean the Opt flag in the lighting table, yes they are checked by default for everything I imported.

Thanks,

Mark

Sorry it took me so long to reply, with your last message I did a lot of testing.

I noticed that although Isy still had the alarm status and alarm buttons showing it wasn't communicating either. The status wasn't current and the buttons wouldn't do anything.

So I moved the Isy next to the alarm and put them on the same switch. Now both of them can communicate. I did not make any changes than to move the Isy from one switch to another. Still the same IP, gateway, ETC.

Thanks for your help.

Mark
