dwiree
Unable to link TriggerLinc 2421. Have ISY-99i w/PLM, Lamplink Dimmer Dual Band. Lamplink works fine. When adding Triggerlink manually, end up with error: Failed writing device link. FDoor-Opened [-200000/-51] Node not added - failed reading links (82 83 84 1) [-200000/-87] The triggerlink is about 5 ft away from the dualband device. Any ideas? Is there a list of error codes? LeeG
That is an unusual Insteon address, 82.83.84. Be sure that is the actual Insteon address. Is the TriggerLinc in linking mode?
Brian H
I would also say check the address. Sometimes a B can be mistaken for an 8.
dwiree
Tried a different TriggerLinc and it linked. Shows an open and a closed. The open one cycles to on and off with the door open/closed. The closed one shows blank in the current state box. Is this to be expected? LeeG
Yes, that is the expected result. There is another option for running a TriggerLinc where the second node is used. Never seen anyone use that option but it is there for use.
dwiree
Thanks for the suggestions. Had 3 triggerlinks, 1 linked first time, the other 2 took 3 or 4 tries of doing the same thing and they eventually all added in. Hopefully operation will be less fluky than setup...
