Schoolhouse
I have a Hall with eight places to enter, leave. When I add a new hall switch, I make a new controller and then drag all the items (8 or 9) from another scene, all as responders. So far so good. The computer thinks for a long time, adding each switch one by one. In summary, I create a new scene for each new Controller. When complete, I need to add the new controller back as a responder to the original 8 scenes. I have to do this one by one. Is there a quicker way? This one by one takes a long time. Thank you, Tom
LeeG
You need only 1 ISY Scene. Add each switch as a Controller to that Scene. The ISY assumes a Controller is also a Responder. It will cross-link all the Controllers such that any can control the load and all status LEDs will stay in sync.
Schoolhouse
Very helpful. Thank you. In that case, is there an easy way to change a responder to a controller in a scene, or should I just start over adding them all anew as controllers? Thanks! LeeG
No ease way. It would have to be deleted and added back as a Controller. I suggest deleting all those Scenes. Define one Scene, adding all the Switches as Controllers.

Schoolhouse
Is it possible to "nest" a scene (or scenes) in a new scene? For example, If I have a living room scene and a dining room scene, can I create a third scene that references the two scenes, or do I have to copy them all into the one scene? LeeG
There is nothing in the Insteon architecture that supports nesting Insteon Scenes.
