KPL 2484d countdown timer

Does anyone know if the new revisions of the KPL 2484D Countdown timers (like v5.5) being used with an isy99i will give independent control of any unused buttons? I have two of these, but I never use the 30 min, 1 hr, 2hr, 4hr buttons on these...can I use these buttons as controllers for other scenes that I create like a normal KPL (non countdown timer)? In hindsight, knowing what I know now of the isy99i, I would have never done a countdown timer since I could have done my own programs with a regular 8 button KPL. Additionally, do you know if you can "reflash" the firmware on these things to a make it a KPL 2486D?

Thanks for any and all info...

How many nodes were defined for the KeypadLinc Countdown Timer?

I don't think the buttons can be used independently. The number of nodes will answer the question.

Smarthome/Smartlabs does not offer a service to reflash devices.

it shows multiple nodes...8 to be exact. I could probably do programs that say if control KPL Timer.H is pressed on then perform scene....however, I think it will also turn on the lights attached to that KPL when you push that node button and then start a countdown... I guess I may have to try some trial and error.

That was not the answer I was expecting so I installed a 2484D. The additional nodes are Blue which means they are Responders not Controllers so they cannot be used to control anything. Also all the buttons present with a button number that matches the upper left button so it is not possible to know which button was pressed anyway.

Ok. Thanks for the add'l info Lee. Looks like I'm out of luck then. I will probably just have to pick up a Normal KPL and replace these things. They are very limited in use, especially in light of the fact I am not using several of the buttons. With the ISY99i, I can create my own timers...

Thanks again,
