beachfront71 Posted April 3, 2012 Posted April 3, 2012 SO the other day my IO linc was acting up, went be the store and replaced it. New one worked for a bit then dissapeared ... Isy would show the sensor status but could not control the Relay. Got another one .. Now this one would not link so I finally brought it in my office where ISY is located, linked it, put it back out in the garage and all is well. Any idea why I had to link it that way? _____________________________________________ Part 2 When I open or close the garage the Relay status stays on for 10 or so minutes ... Is there a reason for that or a way to make it turn off quicker? Thanks again for any help.

LeeG Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 In a garage application the I/O Linc relay operates in Momentary mode, turning itself Off after the defined timeout. The I/O Linc Relay does not signal any device it turned itself Off so the Relay node will sit as On forever unless and until a Query is done. If the I/O Linc linked in the house but not in the garage there is a comm problem getting to the garage circuit the I/O Linc is plugged into. It can take dozens of commands that must all execute successfully to add any device. It is not uncommon to have link issues where dozens of commands must work back to back even though the device may control successfully. In this case the device cannot be controlled successfully adding to the conclusion there is a comm problem.
