andyf0 Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Smarthome is coming out with their own thermostat that links with up to two wireless insteon thermostats. http://www.smarthome.com/2441TH/INSTEON ... tat/p.aspx If this is not Venstar I'll be picking up one of these and two of the upcoming wireless thermostats. Hopefully Michel already has support for these on his list of things to add.

Unfortunately for me I have already committed to 5 Venstar 1800 with humidity sensors, and the Insteon module. I have them all placed in key areas / zone's to ensure the ceiling fans come on when the heat / AC kicks in. As an aside: I am interested to see if this product has the same problems the new TSTAT has. Seems to me there is always a first gen firmware bug in these things. I think it best that people wait and see how others fair and also see if and when UDI supports this product. In my eyes, if it for not the support and the continued support of the UDI team, many of the failures of the Insteon products would have killed off this HA brand. I will sit and wait and see what the fall out is . . . Teken . . .
Brian H Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 I believe it is an Insteon model. You can find internal and external photos along with the preliminary users manual in the FCC Database. There also seems to be data on a 2441ZT that has battery power and is a remote type not connected directly to the heating and cooling unit. http://transition.fcc.gov/oet/ea/fccid/ Grantee SBP Product Code 2441T and 2441ZT for the battery one. andyf0 Posted April 25, 2012 Author Posted April 25, 2012 Thanks Brian. These are indeed nice thermostats. But I wonder how much control will be able to be added to ISY. I'm hoping that the ISY will be able control which sensor is the master so the master can be switched at different times of the day. I simulate the function of this thermostat with a remote thermostat using ISY programs, but these look alot nicer and thinner than the Venstars.
Brian H Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 Hard to say on what can be done with them. The Developers Group has not been given any Developers Notes on them yet.
RichTJ99 Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 Looks like tomorrow is the release day. I was just about to order one but maybe i should wait until UD supports them.
LeeG Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 If the reference is to the 2441TH that device type is in the list of devices supported by 3.2.6.
