ISY/99IR power LED brightness

Hi all,

Have got my new ISY99 to replace my old PLM from 2006.

The ISY has IR and is placed in my home theather in front of my projection screen where the other audio video components are.

Problem is that the ISY has to be visible to me so I can use the IR remote control to turn on/off lights and things.

Issue is the power LED (Blue) is so bright that it is very annoying while watching a movie and having this bright LED right below the screen.

Beside sticking a tape over it, is there a way to reduce the brightness of that power LED. The other LEDs (Tx,Rx) are not so bright but the power LED...WOW

Thanks again.

Marc

Recommend electrical tape or IR Repeaters... If you still want to see the status lights I found 5 strips of masking tape over the lights brings them down to a more acceptable level.

My Blue Power LED on my ISY994i keeps the whole room well illuminated at night.

My older ISY99i with Green LED was way dimmer than the super bright Blue ones.

I use a stick-on felt pad.

Agree that the LED it way way to bright. I also bought an ISY 994i ir pro so I could use my tv remote but because the LED is so bright I can't. Thought about going to Radio Shack and replacing it with a dimmer one, or just use a black marker and color it in!

Would be cool if it were adjustable like the switches LEDs are.
