Turning on/off device in one ISY from another ISY

I have a project with a geography too large for the standard Insteon mesh to reach from one end to the other (no path exists to propagate signal in the max of 3 hops). There is CAT5 run through the site so the use of multiple ISY is possible. But is there an easy way for a Program running on ISY-A to easily manipulate/query a device within range of ISY-B using the facilities of the optional Network module?

I've added the Network module to the first ISY currently onsite. Looking for reassurance that this is feasible and relatively easy before investing in the second ISY.

Thanks!

You can certainly do this but it won't be fully integrated, you'll have to create network resources for all of the remote devices you want to manage (e.g. they won't show in one tree).

I had a similar issue and one recommendation I received was to run a line voltage line from the 'good area' to the 'new area' and put a wireless access point there. This creates a bridge between the two areas.

I really wish someone would create an insteon over IP repeater, I know I could certainly use a few of those.

+1

i called smarthome last week for the same issue, the only solution they gave me was to run power from one location to the other, which is quite impossible.
