rgs455returns Posted July 15, 2012 Posted July 15, 2012 Hello, Has anyone purchased a Logic Tech Security Camera and has experience running the ISY and insteon devices with the camera? Apparently, the logictech camera uses the power wires to communicate with your router much like the PLM. Here is a link to more information: http://www.logitech.com/en-us/903/6141 Once the camera data is connected to the router you can view the camera from a web interface to view in real time and recordings. Any thought about any communication issues would be truly appreciated! Bill posting.php?mode=post&f=27#

I simply use a Home and Away program to turn on and off the inside cameras connected to a utility plug. The cameras have exceptional quality as they are close to HD. You can connect them to your router via Power Over Ethernet as opposed to Power over electric lines. For $79/year you can now access your camera directly from the iPad/iPhone app and view video clips stored on the SDHC cards. That is sort of an IP task. You can also turn on and off e-mail notifications via the iPad app. But using Insteon would be the ultimate ease of use.
