francoislegacy Posted July 28, 2012 Share Posted July 28, 2012 I have a problem with scenes not working at all with my 4 dualband lamplincs (ISY 99i, PLM). From the admin console, I can control each lamplinc individually. I can also control them with a program. I can do the same from Mobilinc on my iphone. And if I use a button on a Keypadlinc to trigger a program, it works. So, i think I can assume that there is no communication problem. But I can't make any scene works. Using the "Test scene", report show that it failed. So, my question is : what steps should i follow to try to resolve this problem. Thanks Link to comment

LeeG Posted July 28, 2012 Share Posted July 28, 2012 Thanks for the trace. Most of the devices are sending a NAK response meaning they received the Scene command but would not react to it. What is the device type (number) and what load is connected to the failing devices. What ISY firmware is being used? Link to comment
francoislegacy Posted July 28, 2012 Author Share Posted July 28, 2012 Device type : B2457D2 LampLinc BiPhy v41 (all 4 are of this type) The load is a regular table lamp with regular light bulb (no LED or CFL). 3 of them are 60W and the 4th has a 100W bulb. Link to comment

LeeG Posted July 28, 2012 Share Posted July 28, 2012 Run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer with Level 3. Right click one of the LampLinc nodes, select Diagnostics | Query Insteon Engine. Then using the Admin Console turn the LampLinc On and Off. Post the trace containing the Query Insteon Engine and On/Off trace. I suspect these are I2CS devices. Was the Scene created under 3.2.6? Run Help | About and verify the UI line indicates 3.2.6. Link to comment

In the meanwhile, after you gave me some advices, i tried something. I did a "Restore Device" on each lamplinc and now it seems to work! LeeG Posted July 28, 2012 Share Posted July 28, 2012 It looked like a link record issue. I2CS devices are very restrictive about which PLM can issue commands to it and that authority rests with the link records in the device. Link to comment
