DynamoDave Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Hello, I got my isy994. Firmware is v.3.2.6 and PLM status says connected. When I click on start linking, I don't get any popup. The PLM beeps and I try linking a switchlinc and it seems to link. However nothing happens on the admin console. already upgraded to latest java. rebooted computer power cycles isy and plm. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Dave
LeeG Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 That can be AV or firewall blocking the data the ISY is pushing out to the Admin Console. What AV is being used? Kaspersky is a common blocker.
DynamoDave Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Hi I am using Avast. Disabled it and now it is working. oh my. I did a factory reset before and lost the daily 3 am status program. Can you send me a copy? Also what is the "Auto DR" scene and why can't I remove it?
LeeG Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Avast is another common blocker. The ISY can be put into a White or Trusted list (nomenclature may be wrong, I don’t use Avast). There should be several forum entries describing the Avast configuration. The QueryAll Program is as follows ... If Time is 3:00:00AM Then Set Scene 'My Lighting' Query Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') I renamed the Scene on my 994. It may be ISY Lighting or something like that on yours. Do not delete Auto DR. There is a forum entry that explains what it is for. Not a good idea to be deleting things you do not understand.
DynamoDave Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Thank you Lee. I will google how to add the ISY as an exception to avast. For now I have just disabled avast. Guess I won't try and delete things I don't understand... good advice. BTW what does the QueryAll program do?
LeeG Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 I think Auto-DR has to do with power management but I'm not sure of that. On the East coast power management is not the topic it is in the West. The QueryAll insures the ISY has the current Status of all devices. All the devices are linked to the PLM so it should be aware of state changes. However, not every powerline is good so it is possible to miss a state change.
DynamoDave Posted September 28, 2012 Author Posted September 28, 2012 Lee, Thank you for all your help. I really appreciate it. Working on those scenes and programs now. All the best, --Dave
