Motion Sensors gone wild: my case: SOLVED

Guys,

A few days ago my MS (2842-222 - formerly 2420M) "went gone wild": it start sending "Switch ON" signal every (like) 20 seconds.

Solution: replace a battery! Smarthome packed my MS with "some kind of 9V battery" which only lasts for 2-3 months.

I've replaced a that "Excel" battery with a regular Duracell (type 2014, 9V) and everything went back at no time.

No ISY "reprogramming", no "update device" - nothing.

Just replace a battery :)

Thank you,

Sergey

Wow. It sure would be nice if the insteon failure/low battery behavior

would be to do nothing. Instead of issuing all sorts of bogus on commands.

Maybe that's a difference between cheap sensors like Insteon

and an $80.00 leviton occupancy sensor.
