"Request failed" when attempting to change LED brightness

Hi... Installed a second 8 button KPL (2486DWH8) V6.0 and it works fine except for the fact that I can't get the ISY to control the LED's. When I try to change the brightness levels I get an error that states: "Request failed" I've power cycled the ISY and looked thru the posts and can't find a resolution. My other 8 button KPL works fine.

Try a right click on the KeypadLinc Primary node, select Diagnostics | Query Insteon Engine. If that does not resolve run Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer at Level 3. With trace running do another Query Insteon Engine. Then change the LED level and post the event trace.

I added two files, one screen shot in a msword doc and the log itself

I don't see it either??? I sent it again. If for some reason it's not getting thru can i send via email?

You can send the event log to lwgwork@embarqmail.com. A .txt file cannot be attached to the forum. The event log should be very short. Edit under WordPad and copy/paste into post as any other text.

I had this problem as well as the same error when I tried to change toggle mode. The KPL in question was one I had done a "replace with", which I learned can cause problems intermittently. I ended up having to reconfigure the KPL manually from scratch. Or to be more accurate, I plugged in a spare I keep and built it up to match the problematic one (don't forget the programs) then removed the problematic one from ISY and physically swapped the h/w.
