V.27 Switchlinc dimmers writing issues

I have at least 3 of these switches in a 3 gang box. They always respond to on off querry. But only sometimes do they take the writing out to them when I am adding to my network. The isy seems to want to update them nearly anytime I make a change to something else.

 

Is it known that the v.27 were buggy or something?

The v.35 firmware is believed to cause Insteon network problems. Have not heard that v.27 falls into that category.

 

Keep in mind that a simple On,Off,Query is one command that is retried if it fails. Work with a device link database, particularly one that old can often require dozens of commands that must all work to make changes to a link database. Writing a single link record takes a minimum of 17 commands all of which must work to complete the one logical write operation. Comm issues often show up with updates because of the large volume of commands involved.
