bobmre
I am a bit confused about which energy meter should be purchased. First of all, I would think that the Brultech device should be located inside the electrical panel. From what I can tell the power supply for the unit is a plug-in wall adapter. I don't think I have ever seen a receptacle inside an electrical panel. I would guess that if you were using the ZigBee unit the casing of the panel would block the signal from outside of the panel. If using ethernet, you would probably get a lot of electrical noise on the connection. Can somebody clarify which unit should be used. Also, currently I am using a TED5000 to monitor my electrical and PV System. I am having a few communication issues and think that maybe the TED5000 is interfering with the insteon devices. If I replace the TED5000 with the Brultech device, is there something available to send my energy information to PVOUTPUT.ORG? Currently the TED5000 does this for me. Michel Kohanim
Mr. Moore, Brultech has CTs. CTs are going to be in the breaker panel and the ECM itself will be outside. Communications with ECM are over Zigbee. With kind regards, Michel
