  1. I did factory reset on the switch and removed references to the switch from the Alexa app. The light can now be manually turned on and will stay on. Tried adding switch back to Alexa app but Alexa doesn't discover the device, so no voice control of the switch.
  2. After migrating from ISY994i to eISY the Insteon on/off switch in the laundry room will not stay on. Manual press to turn the light on will turn the light on but it will turn itself off within a minute. This is persistent. It will stay on when turned on using the UD Mobile app or the Alexa app or the old Universal Devices app. My wife doesn’t use the apps and wants to be able to manually turn the switch on and have the light stay on. Any ideas for troubleshooting?
  3. I was running Zone Alarm firewall/antivirus but had disabled it. when clearing cache I only checked the first 2 boxes. Anyway, once I made the migration from ISY994i to eISY then both computers worked and no proxy errors. Thanks for your input and help.
  4. Now on to the ISY994i to eISY migration. I will read and understand the migration document before I go any further. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=Eisy:User_Guide
  5. Thank you! All is working now!!
  6. I switched computers and got Admin Console up and running ... still version 4.9.0. I did a backup. Then upgraded to 5.3.4. After the upgrade to 5.3.4 my password no longer works so is will not allow me to login to Admin Console. The isy994i is still working and interfacing with Amazon Echo and ISY programs are running and operation properly. What can I do about my password?
  7. I cannot upgrade to 5.3.4 because Admin Console comes up and then I logon and it shows my device list for just a second and then it gets "I/O Error: ProxyDevice" and then it crashes immediately. I do not have time to do anything except watch it crash. I am running version 4.9.0. I have quite a few insteon devices that are controlled by my ISY994i. Years ago I did some programming to control garage lights with motion detectors that took several iterations to get right. I'm not sure I could do that programming anymore. Any other suggestions?
  8. Admin Console (Lan) starts to load after I sign in then gets "I/O Error: ProxyDevice". I can see the list of my Insteon devices right before it gets the "I/O Error: ProxyDevice" and then it crashes. I am on version 4.9.0. I have purchased a new eISY device to migrate to but It says the backup from the ISY994i is too old. With the error I get on the old device, I am unable to update the software to get a good backup to load to the eISY. I want to get the programming I did using motion detectors and garage lights on the new eISY. Can someone help me? ...Please??
  9. Getting HTTP error 500 at login ISY994i
  10. Mine is working now. It started working while I slept ... great!!
  11. Is the portal down?
  12. The firewall I am using is ZoneAlarm Extreme Security and have been using it for years. I added the IP address of the ISY to the trusted zone. I do not know what the Java version was before I reinstalled Java. There is a step I did not mention in the debug info: To fix the error message socket open failed java.io.ioexception: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host - Open Java, select the Advanced tab, select Enable operating system’s restricted environment option (toward the bottom), select Apply and click OK to exit. see https://windowsreport.com/existing-connection-forcibly-closed-by-remote-host/ I also did reboots after most of the debugging steps. I think there were 2 problems: The ISY IP address needed to be added to the firewall trusted zone Java needed the Enable operating system’s restricted environment box checked.
  13. OK ... after spending much time trying to debug ... I uninstalled Java, reinstalled Java, Used the Java Uninstall Tool, ran CCleaner registry cleaner, reinstalled Java, snoozed the firewall, finally I completely exited the firewall and the ISY is working. I restarted the firewall and added the ISY IP address to the firewall and now ISY is working just fine. So it was the firewall all along ... not sure how the firewall got changed. Thanks for the help.
  14. OK ... Now the ISY Launcher is finding the device. I click on the ISY in the ISY Finder window and select Admin Console (LAN) and it brings up the Admin Console which asks for Id and password. Once Id and Password are entered, the Admin Console brings up a list of my devices and then instantly flashes a message "IO Error" and crashes. I cannot see the rest of the IO Error message because it goes so by so fast. The web interface is working properly both from the PC and from my phone. My PC and the ISY device are both connected via ethernet cable, my phone is using WiFi. I am able to get to the ISY Dashboard via the Launcher. And the Dashboard shows the error messages. See screenshots of the Dashboard and both error messages. I have also tried with firewall and anti-virus turned off with the same bad result. Is there a way to start over and use the backup to retrieve my devices and programs?
