  1. @Brian HI have a serial PLM for ISY, but I have a new USB PLM to use with eisy. What I was wondering if that would be a problem switching out when I set up eisy? Or should I get a serial adapter cable and set up eisy with the old PLM for now? Thanks @TechmanThanks!
  2. I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I don't want to mess up migration from ISY-994i to eisy. I know this has been covered a million times already, but that's actually created a bit of information overload. I have a serial PLM hooked to ISY but have a new USB PLM to use. I have several battery and plug-in Z-wave devices. I would like to do this on a desktop, not mobile. Would some of you helpful forum members point me to the right Wiki and/or give me a few tips? Thanks as always. Bob
  3. I've had a Tempest unit for several years. It even survived an EF 3 tornado that destroyed every tree around it. Very happy with this product, and the app is great.
  4. I bought Ecolink Z-Wave Plus Indoor Flood / Freeze Sensor FLF-ZWAVE5-ECO from The Smartest House 2 years ago and they have been working well. They are out of stock on The Smartest House website, but available at Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Ecolink-Zwave-Freeze-Sensor-FLF-ZWAVE5-ECO/dp/B0716YVPLG Bob
  5. Hi Techman, Thanks for the help. This is the smoke detector: https://www.amazon.com/Z-Wave-Detector-Carbon-Monoxide-Generation/dp/B08FFB233Y Also, I am attaching a document from First Alert labeled confidential (!) which has some technical information. Have a good day. Bob BRK_ZCOMBO_Z-Wave_Specification_V2.pdf
  6. No, not using Insteon Smoke Bridge. This is a Z-Wave alarm that connected through the Z-Wave dongle.
  7. I was able to connect add this alarm to ISY, but I'm not completely sure what each node does. The manual says nothing. Although it may seem self-explanatory, I want to assure that I correctly set up a notification for smoke, CO2 and maybe low battery. Many thanks. Bob ---------------------------------------------- The nodes are as follows: Notify Sensor (which shows the battery level) Smoke Alarm 1 (reads idle) Smoke Detected 1 (reads off) Smoke Alarm Test 1 (reads off) CO Alarm 1 (reads idle) System Alarm 1 (reads idle) Hardware Failure Alarm 1 (reads off)
