Can the ZMatter card be used as a Zigbee controller now while we wait for matter to be available?

Crud. I'm excited to see this happening and would love to give it a go . . . but even though I understand what is happening when you're talking about connecting to the Polisy through shell commands I'm not as experienced as others here and don't want to screw anything up! So . . . I'll be waiting a bit longer for things to be ironed out more before giving this a go. Thanks for the info. And the serial cable should be in the original box in the closet somewhere (I hope).

This is cool. But I've got a few questions. Is this upgrade able to be downloaded and installed when going through Polisy and using the check for updates option? I'm not sure if my abilities are quite up to the task otherwise. Second, I've seen others mention the Insteon 2413U PLM USB interface, do I need one? (I'm assuming I will, eventually at least) And finally, I've got a Polisy Pro, but it does not have a Z-Wave module correct? Is there a supported Z-Wave module for it? I've got a few Z-Wave devices and need the support. If there isn't a Z-Wave device/module yet will these devices be supported through the ISY to the Polisy? Thanks.

I'm currently using a Honeywell T6 Pro Z-Wave thermostat. First, is there an app that works with this model? Everything that I've seen seems to be for the WiFi model and not the Z-Wave model. Second, is there a remote sensor that works with this thermostat? Thanks

D'oh! I didn't realize that there were 2 different UD Mobile apps on the Play store. I feel like such a noob!. Thank you Javi for pointing me in the right direction.

I did download it from the Play Store, but am just trying to also set it up on my Samsung tablet. The install from the Play store to my phone went smooth as silk so that's why I'm a little confused with the second install.

I have UDI Mobile installed on my phone and it went smooth as can be. I'm trying to set it up on my tablet and need to get a 6-digit pin to continue my installation. Following the instructions on "Where to get my pin" I've logged in to my ISY Portal and end up at the Occupancy v2.0 (with UDI Mobile) tab. But I can't find a way to generate a pin. Any help here would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Z-Wave receptacle with two controlled outlets?
jmpnjimbob replied to jmpnjimbob's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
A Z-Wave power strip looks interesting. I'm thinking that using a plug in module with the always on receptacle would work in those few places where I'd like to have both receptacles controlled. Thanks guys. -
I've been looking in to Z-wave receptacles and it appears that you only have one that is controlled. Are there any where both outlets are controlled?

I’m happy that I am receiving messages, but am having a small problem with the text messages that I am receiving. I’m curious if I possibly have something not quite setup correctly. When I do receive messages, they come in with different 4 digit codes which seems to correspond to the person sending the message (sender and then message). I have the top plug in an outlet setup through my ISY to turn on and off when certain temperatures are met and send me a text message when doing so. The following are examples of what I am seeing: 9107 alerts @universal-devices.com / Outlet On / Master bedroom outlet one, top outlet is on 4108 alerts @universal-devices.com / Outlet On / Master bedroom outlet one, top outlet is off 9504 alerts @universal-devices.com / Outlet On / Master bedroom outlet one, top outlet is on 3907 alerts @universal-devices.com / Outlet On / Master bedroom outlet one, top outlet is off Any thoughts?

When I purchased my ISY I went ahead and bought the ISY994i ZW + Pro hoping to have as many hardware paths available for future expansion as possible. My next major purchase was an Insteon thermostat because as someone new to home automation with the Universal Devices ISY I wanted simplicity when connecting and working with all of my Insteon devices (wall switches, outlets, etc.). So I am curious, do Zwave devices work as smoothly as the Insteon devices do when using them with the ISY994i, especially since I have the ZWave module in my unit?

Thermostat temperature different than captured variable
jmpnjimbob replied to jmpnjimbob's topic in ISY994
Thanks Larry. So seeing a 2 degree difference in my variable and my indicated temperature might not be anything to worry about. While I'm on this topic, are there other thermostats that might do a better job? My worry is that if I don't go with an Insteon device their integration might not be as smooth and easy especially for a novice. -
I am using an Insteon 2441TH thermostat in my system. The readout on the screen is showing a temperature reading that is a couple of degrees warmer than the reading that my variable shows on my ISY console screen. How can this be? I'm creating a program to trigger an action when a certain temperature is met. If my thermostat is showing one thing and my variable another things might not work the way I'd like. This is how I am capture the temperature reading to a variable. If 'Thermostat' Temperature < 150.0° Then $Inside_Temp = 'Thermostat' Temperature ° Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action') Is there more to this that I need to do?

Thanks for the input, but I wasn't setting up a timer for lights, but basically a pump that I want to run periodically every hour. I will be wanting to create a scene to control lighting for times when I'm away in the near future so I'm hoping to find an examp!e or two to help me get that accomplished.

Thanks. I'll give that a try.
