Admin Console (LAN) Doesn't Load
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in IoX Support
Gotcha. I am able to access it via LAN now. I unlugged it again and this time it worked. Maybe first time I didn't leave it unplugged long enough. Thanks for the help! Simple meaning programs like having certain lights come on at sunset and using a button on a keypad to have them all go off at night. I also have door sensors with a siren to use as an alarm. -
Admin Console (LAN) Doesn't Load
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in IoX Support
Hi. Yes, I mean accessing from Admin Console (cloud). I have an ISY994i. I see the port where the card is installed, but don't see how to get it out. Do I need to unscrew the box? -
Admin Console (LAN) Doesn't Load
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in IoX Support
I read that thread and saw you mentioned an Insteon hub might be an option. My programming is simple. What would be the process of moving to the hub? Also, I noticed someone say since ISY can be accessed from the cloud then the issue is probably with the IoX Launcher. I can access from the cloud. You still think it could be a SD card issue? Thanks! -
Admin Console (LAN) Doesn't Load
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in IoX Support
Hi. The reboot didn't work. I didn't realize it has an SD card. I'm on version 5.0.15A. I have a Polisy and need to move over to it, but the instructions seem complicated, so I still haven't done it yet. If I could get back into admin console for now, that would be great. I downloaded the launcher from the link Techman sent and I don't have the new Mac OS, so that's not the problem. Thank you! -
Hi. If I click on the launcher, my ISY shows, but when I select "Admin Console LAN" it won't open. It will load cloud but none of my prorgrams are loading. I deleted Java cache (all 3 boxes checked), deleted existing launcher and downloaded again, but still not working. Any ideas? I have a Mac. Thanks!

How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
I haven't worked on this since my last post in May. Before I start again, I was wondering if there have been updates on the process, or if I should still follow these same instructions with updating my Polisy, or perhaps it would be easier to get an Eisy. Thank you. -
Unable to turn light on/off in admin console
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in IoX Support
This is a dining room light and before the Insteon switches were installed, both switches controlled the light. Are you saying that only one of those switches would have had the load connected? If so, how did the light without the load control the light? Sorry, not experienced on this and curious how it was set up originally. Thank you. -
I have two dimmer switches that control the same light. I can turn the light on/off using one of the switches in both the admin console and by physically using the switch. The other switch I can only control with the physical switch. When I try to turn the light on/off using the admin console, the lights on that switch go up and down as if the light is turning on/off, but the light actually doesn't turn on/off. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks!

How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
Stupid question, but how do I log in to Polisy? No option on admin console. I'm trying to see if its has Zwave. -
How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
In admin console, it says the z-wave version is 6.81.00. Is that the 500 series board? Or am I looking in the wrong place for the firmware version? Is there a definitive way to determine if my Polisy has Zmatter installed? I doubt it, but would like to know for sure. The dongle is $126. I'm currently only using three z-wave on/off lamp modules. I'm wondering if it would be less hassle to just get Insteon on/off modules and not migrate z-wave. Do I need to do anything regarding the below disabled static IP configuration, or am I already set up correctly since Polisy is working? This migration seems kind of complicated. Also thinking about maybe getting a Hub and using the Director app, but not sure what/if any features I would lose. Thanks again for your help. Thinking about trying it this weekend. Static IP: Starting with Polisy, and due to massive support requests, we have disabled static IP configuration. Please use DHCP reservation in your router instead. The advantage of DHCP reservation is that, in case you change your router, you can still find your eisy/Polisy. Important Note If you have devices pointing to your 994, you will have to update their IP and port#s. For both eisy/polisy, you should use the following ports: -
How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
I didn't realize retiring the ISY is an option. Is there a benefit to using it as the main controller instead of keeping both? The firmware and UI versions are both v.5.0.15A Sadly, I don't remember if my Polisy has the Zmatter dongle. How can I confirm? I found my receipt where I ordered the Polisy May 15, 2020 and it was $329.00 if that helps knowing. How can I find out if I have the 300 or 500 series Zwave card installed on the ISY? -
How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
Firmware version is 5.0.15A. Sorry, where do I find the UI version? Yes, Polisy is connected to router via ethernet cable. The PLM is connected to the ISY. My goal is to upgrade firmware so I can use the UD mobile app to set notifications. I appreciate your patience. I know my questions are basic. It's just been so long. -
How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
I remember setting up nodes like Ring so I guess I set up Polisy. How can I check? Under admin console, I'm only seeing ISY, so I guess I'm using ISY for my primary controller. -
How to upgrade to latest IoX version?
smarthome_newbie replied to smarthome_newbie's topic in Polisy
Do I need to update the ISY994 as well, or just the Polisy? I have a couple Z wave lamp modules. I think I got the Polisy right when it was released. How can I tell if it needs a bios update? For backing up Polisy, are you referring to "Run IoX Backup" in these instructions? Sorry for the dumb questions. It's been years since I've used this. -
I have an ISY994i and Polisy on IoX version 5.0.15A. It's been a while since I've used it. Are the instructions below what I follow to update to the current version? Anything else I need to be aware of? Thanks!

I set everything up 5 years ago and haven't used it much since. I have programs and scenes that are still working to turn on/off lights. I'm now wanting to get back into it. For example, I would like to receive notifications when a door is opened, and maybe do some more advanced things. Can the door notification be sent via the UD Mobile app if I have an open/close sensor on the door? Also, is it necessary to upgrade to EISY? Thanks for any help. It's been so long I have forgotten a lot about the system.

It's working! I cleared cache and ran start.jnlp again. Thanks!

I have the IoX launcher on my Mac desktop. The IoX Finder opens when I click on it, but when I click on the UUID, it won't open to the prompt where I enter my ID and password. I just updated to the latest version of Java but that didn't help. Any idea what's going on? Thanks.

I have 3 zwave devices and an Insteaon siren installed. They all receive the "cannot communicate" message in admin console but the devices still work with my programs and I can control them from the admin console. This started when I unplugged the siren and plugged it back in. Any idea why Im getting this message?

I figured out it's the bulb. I recently replaced the bulb that's having the dimming issue. I just tested by installing one of the old bulbs from another room and the dimming issue didn't happen. I bought the same exact brand and model bulb. What could be different from this bulb and the original one?
