Sigh. 1: those directing me to the store obviously were unaware that what I was saying was even a thing. 2: Your response is the only one that contained any information of any usable kind, short of a developer link, so that appreciated even given the context. 3: I get the walled garden thing, you either know it all or not at all and don't bother... that seems like a pretty shitty attitude to take. Why are those sorts on forums int he first place? Even if a structured answer fundamentally said "its not for you you don't know enough" at least that would be structured answer. This doesn't apply to anyone, as no one took either tack... instead they... 4: Misread the string as my complaining about the tech, and reacted like admonishing head mistressess. 5: I never critiqued the tech... I was saying "why would they advertise.... act" as a response to people seemingly acting as if what I was saying couldn't be done, or that the answer to my issue was the store. I was defending the fact that the tech WAS capable, and that THEIR ANSWERS around the store were wrong, and "why would they have the hardware, or advertising, or gits if it wasn't true" as an agreement that IT MUST BE TRUE... not the other way around. This experience has assured me that the world is completely doomed. Just bafflingly obtuse and intentionally complicated.

Dude, you didn't follow the plot. I was not complaining about it not being able to be done... I was argiueing that it could be done to people that were TELLING ME it either couldn't be or to "use the store." I got told to use the store 4 times and to that I reply "why would they advertise....ect" as an argument for why USE THE STORE was not a valid answer. I was arguing that it MUST BE ABLE to do the things.... Now your telling me that I am complaining that it can't do the things? You were not one of the boneheads repeating "use the store" to my question... so you were not the target of my response. But now your under he impression that my frustration comes form a problem I have with UD or the Polisy or some other thing when the ONLY GD thing I have an issue with is the people telling me to use the store as an answer to my question... and now I have an issue where a a person who does seem to know what is even being discussed is completely confused about what my position in this thread is, and is telling me that my position is that I am refusing help or complaining about the tech... There are GIts for polyglot and isy on GitHub. Obviously those are the ones I am talking about. What is the point of of the having the hardware if you can't do anything with it you couldn't do without it?

This is the thing... I don't want what's int he store. the point that was sold to us was that we could take Poly's and Git's and put them on the hardware Polisy. This is the reason you would get a piece of hardware and not just run it off the serve version. There are active Git's that I want to use specifically for ISY and not only does it appear that no one knows how to use them... but it appears that no one seems to think that's a thing. What are they there for then? Why did it say that we would be able to load our own into the hardware. WTH is the point of the thing if its got 4 node servers available to it that aren't on the completely free software version. This whole thing is ridiculous. UHFIOSDHOISJNDKNSJONSKN. 80)

N ode servers is way over my head. I got the physical Polisy in the hope of loading Its, and now I am told even with the hardware that's not a thing I can do... Its going to be "big box" walled garden for me in no time.... I was mastering the isy... and the Insteon... now its declining and fast.

While this is true, they have been joined at the hip for a while. Rarely do both patients survive a separation, and often neither do. This is bad shakaka. All bad shakaka.

I hope that's the case... but when I questioned them directly they replied that they were all discontinued and that there were no plans to replace. I know that sometimes if there are things in the pipeline they don't know/say so, but it doesn't sound good.

Ok, But I bought the physical polisy unit because they advertised it as being able to do just that, tinker with and add your own bits "with ease" and now it turns out that all I got was like 4 more poly's in the store than if iI had just kept using the virtual one.... Complete waste. I mean, why are their Git's for the thing if they cant be installed? Who's making git's that have no way to install? Its all nonsense.

Isnt there a way to install ones not in the store? Like from git hub...you know, like the one I’m referencing? In the quote. And in the op topic...

Anyone else find this? Smarthome sent me an answer to my inquiry that basically said they don't think they are going to sell them anymore. This is disturbing. I know we all use them less then switches but to do a lot of things that weren't just lights they are a requirement. I feel like I am going to be forced to mix systems, or run a lot of new wire. Anyone got a lead on something that would substitute? I mean, I could use a din rail unit and add boxes where possible for them but for goodness sake that's crazy. This could really limit any design. And even if there's a workaround, its probably not one the isy can accommodate, forcing multiple controllers and confusion and in my case a complete rethink for three or four upcoming projects and jobs. Hoping something obvious I just don't know comes out of my posting that will make it all better.

Could someone Point me to the firmware files. The link in the top thread here downloads a folder with a larger number of files, not a file my Isy994i/IR Pro is asking for. Am I missing something, or the link? Please help. Newish at this, but have a pretty robust system for over a year so I am not completely dumb. Thanks again.
