  1. I have had the exact same problem with my temp linc's I beleive it is a software glitch in the thermostat hardware and had nothing to do with being hacked.

theubi, actually maybe I was not clear in the above post, but the above commands ARE WORKING. I am not sure what changed, but it does issue the commands and the devices successfully turn on and off. Michael

The format is the exact same, the only difference is you replace the Insteon ID with the scene number, which you can find in the ISY admin panel. You can find the ID # at the top of the screen below the scene name. scene id : 1411 replace /B 21 BC 1/ with /1411/ commands you can find in the wiki for rest: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _Interface make sure you use the correct on/off commands for each device. I had issues at first trying to use /CMD/DON (device on) when I should have been using /CMD/DFON (device fast on). my recommendation is to initially test all devices with the /DFON since they all accept it, and not all devices will respond to the /DON. one last thing. be sure to issue all commands in capital letters, I found that made a difference as well. I have not messed with dimming or thermostats yet, thats next.

Hi Guys, Over the past few days I was working with Leor from UBI to figure out why the Rest commands were not working correctly. Bottom line is Leor was extremely accommodating and helpful, below is the URL to send as a "Get" command. username: michael pass: smellydog website: ihatecats.com ISY Port: 8082 Insteon ID: 0B.21.BC 1 notice the "1" after the ID, you must have it. Format: http://username:pass@yourwebsite.com:Po ... es/insteon address/cmd/DFON Http://michael:smellydog@ihatecats.com: ... st/nodes/B 21 BC 1/cmd/DFON Hopefully this will help.
  5. Looks right except put the "mode heat" line above the set temperatures line
  6. How about using an ezio sprinkler module, it allows you to control 8 separate zones, each zone represents an led on your board. The other thing is you can try "growl" to send push notifications, just not sure if there is an app that allows the notifications to be added to a list. Might be an easier option on an android tablet as opposed to an Idevice.

    UBE. And Ubi

I have been spending a lot of time on kickstarter.com and came across the following 2 gadgets. Curious if anyone else has seen them or has any thoughts. Ubi is a tiny self contained computer that seems to have some pretty cool features built in (hopefully at release will) and with an open API this might solve or offer a good solution to bringing a voice to ISY. Not only for output but for input as well. It seems to have an always open mic that listens for its name to be called and then executes the following statement. It also has motion, light, temperature and sound sensors built in so it can provide a lot of feedback as well. I purchased 2 UBIs and emailed the company as well to find out their automation thoughts if any. UBE is a different set of devices from another company the offers dimmers and other devices. They are "Lutron" style dimmers that use wifi to communicate with each other . Some of the cool features are: Motion sensors built into the switch, they backlight the switch when someone approaches, I would imagine they could also be accessed to use for security feedback as well. Provide energy consumption of each device being controlled Since the switches use a capacitive touchscreen they can be programmed for multi gesture. 1finger dim single, 2 finger dim group, etc They are also developing other solutions as well, appliance style plugin as well as an outlet to replace existing ones. This company also makes the API available for free. I checked the forums and didn't see these devices mentioned anywhere else, if this has already been covered somewhere else, sorry... Both devices look pretty cool and I hope can be integrated into ISY. Thoughts.... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

    EZIO6I

Hi All, I have seen a few posts about linking the SHN EZIO6i, and the issues people were having. I do not see a definitive answer on weather it works or not or how to link it. Can someone tell me if it is possible or not and how to do it. I have tried entering the address directly while selecting the EZIO6 from the drop down device list, I have also tried the button linking method and neiter work for me. I am using ISY99 3.1.1 thanks
