ESPHome would prolly be WAY better....this tasmota thing was a bandaid to make it work under the "at the time" restraints of EISY and lack of support for ESPHome at the time. I would gladly change it over ESPHome if it was available. I changed all my RATGD over to the ESPHome side and love the results from it...works way better with less interaction needed "i.e. babysitting the damn things"

I think that since this device uses MQTT you will never get an immediate response. for me it was not a big deal....i dont need to know the EXACT moment something happened...it just had to be close. im not sure what other devices are out there and if the offer the same detail you want, along with working along side EISY.

post #2 of my writeup.... you can change this to whatever you want in seconds for reporting...not sure you will ever get "real time" reporting as i would think it would overwhelm the MQTT server with messages...

mine upadated after waiting for 5.9.1, it would not update before that....

upgraded wired polisy here..no problems.. alll working as advertised. it did go through all my plugins and re-install them all...so it took a while for all that to work again.

i just set DHCP to give ip addresses by mac address...static mappings....in my firewall. i dont use over the counter routers so im not sure they can handle that or not.

that seemed to fix it so far...just gotta tweak on my side now. thanks much!

im still not updating...several of my other plugins have updated with no problem. im just in wait mode until new firmware/os come out.

yes.. i think thats what i did... i actually set log to debug, then tried to upgrade, so it restarted on its own.

strange.. since the battery was dead for 3 days before i got a chance to replace them...it still showed active in plugin but not in app... i think i will just change my battery status alarm to reflect an earlier alarm..should bandaid the problem..hehe

around that 12:53 mark is when i put the new batteries in. so it actually came back online. i unplugged battery AFTER i sent you the log..but saw the same thing you are seeing...which is no change

nope..this log covers it. in the yolink app the driveway motion sensor was showing offline, but in pg3x it showed as online. i went and removed the batteries again just to check,, no change in pg3x but app showed offline. weird...

Latest version not showing devices offline. Yolink app shows device offline. device is an outside motion sensor. I use it for my driveway alert. took a few minutes to figure out why things were haywire.. hehe
